This home depicts the affluent lifestyle and furnishings of the wealthier Saguache families of the 1920s and 1930s Hazard House
The Hazard House was a bequest from Georgia Marie Hazard Givan
in honor of her father, George, and her mother, Marie.

Though not large, the Hazard House is graced with many fine pieces of furniture, a Steinway piano, lush oriental rugs, silver flatware, tea sets, candelabra and serving sets of all kinds, bone China dinnerware and crystal serving dishes, Fostoria glasses, and fine linen.

A special Christmas Tree display is located by the piano, complete with original ornaments, and splendid toys, including Shirley Temple, and Charlie McCarthy dolls.

The Hazard House Museum is operated by
The Saguache County Museum .
